Kayla's room at last!

Well it took me took weeks to finally get the screws for the closet handles so I could finally call Kayla's room done, and at last! I finally have finished.  This is a picture of the beautiful dresser before...

And here is her bedroom before, with bright pink curtains and yellow walls her room GLOWED, sorta felt a little red light districty. So I needed a new color!

This is the first thing you see when you walk into Kayla's room, it's her growth chart (and yes i did slightly copy Rapunzel's tower.)

There's Kayla's height! And here is the dresser after, along with the castle! The 'K' was nic's idea. I repainted the dresser and spray painted the original handles, although i still don't think this dresser photographers well.

When I told Grandma Kayla was getting a princess room she had to buy her a matching chair!
I had to repaint the closet doors because i'm a bit of a sloppy painter...and i didn't repaint the window frame because i'm lazy and a bit of a sloppy painter...this picture the pink color difference is very noticable but i like to pretend that in person it's not so noticable. and look at the big girl bed! there is an opening at the bottom for Kayla to easily crawl in and out, but for those of you who have met her you would not be suprised to know she likes to climb over the rail and pretty much flip into her bed.
It really is a princess room, it's SOO big! I have little butterflies hanging from the ceiling above Kayla's change table and crib that she likes to try and blow. I got this idea from my friend Karen above Kullen's change table.

Another view. It took me along time to decide how to hang the pictures on that wall, and they are not hung straight and i still don't know if i like them but i have to be done with her room so that's how the will be!

another view of the castle. this project took FOREVEr to i needed to make sure it was well documented.
and the closet doors again...time to put these pictures away, the more i look at them the more i want to go back and paint the pink above the window to match the closet, but then the pink curtains just wouldn't be right, and back to the hanging pictures, time to stop with this project!
next project blake's room! which is going to be much more difficult because he has an opinion about whats on his walls and keeps asking me to paint spiderman, not going to happen! i don't even know how he knows who spiderman is!
